Explore Puerto Rico January 25-February 1
Puerto Rico is a warm and welcoming island where you can take an early morning hike along a secluded nature trail and listen to the sound of birdsong accompanying the melody of coquí tree frogs, experience a dry forest, be immersed in the sights and scents of fields of tropical flowers, take a walk with the farmer through his plantation of tropical fruits and vegetables, then sample the just picked produce. Join us as we travel to La Plata, home of CPS Camp 43, and the inspiration that led to Ten Thousand Villages. Our guide was a child when the Mennonites were invited to come to La Plata. Historic Ponce, beautiful beaches, lace making, salt mining, lighthouses, and fresh pineapple are all part of this tropical adventure. (M)

Panama: History, Culture & Canal March 21-30
While Panama is roughly the size of the state of South Carolina, it contains nearly 1000 bird species, 240 mammals, rain-forests and jungles, soaring mountains, lakes and oceans, colonial and modern cities, and warm, friendly people.
We will see much of this diversity as we travel by plane, boat, dugout canoe and coach to meet with some of the local people and learn their culture, hike the forests looking for some of those birds, snorkel in amazing waters, cruise through the Canal, and visit farmers in the refreshing Highlands. A highlight will be sharing our love with orphans and encouraging their caregivers. Taste pineapple right from the field and coffee on the family farm right where it grows. We invite you to discover this unspoiled country filled with natural and cultural riches with a legacy that has shaped the world’s history. Panama is blessed with splendid biodiversity found within magnificent rain-forests, spectacular seas and ancestral indigenous cultures. A land of magic and mystery.
